Earlier today former interior cabinet secretary Fred Okeng’i Matiang’i had a date with the Director of Criminal Investigation.
Dr Matiang’i who was in the company of his lawyers led by senior counsel Hon. Otiende Amollo (Rarieda M.P), senior counsel Hon. Okong’o Omogeni (Nyamira county Senator), Hon. Steve Mogaka (M.P West Mugirango), Kisii senator Onyonka, former Devolution Cabinet secretary Eugene Wamalwa among other leaders.

The former cabinet secretary was summoned by the DCI to answer claims that he made concerning a raid that he claimed happened at his Karen home, according to the reports given by his lawyer Danstan Omari the home was raided by the police.
Later today Azimio party leader Raila Odinga stormed the DCI offices where he wanted to get into the offices in the aid of Matiang’i who has been held for five hours now.
Unfortunately, the Azimio party leader was denied access to the offices over claimed that he wasn’t expected at the offices. Raila upon being barred was heard telling the officer to allow him in or order his supporters to enter the offices by force.

“Do you want me to order these people to go in by force? This is a public office, how can I be denied entry to see the director? I have a right to go inside. If they want problems they will get problems.” Raila was heard saying.
The Director of Criminal Investigation office has not yet communicated whether the Azimio party leader will be allowed to enter or not.
