A young man has been accused of squandering burial money that was sent to him during the burial fundraising of the late Shabana FC chairman Hon Yabesh Nyandoro Kambi.
Dr Nyandoro succumbed two weeks ago and at the time of his death, he was at his law firm in Kitengela, Kajiado county where he collapsed and died after briefly complaining of headache according to his family.
The Shabana FC chairman was elected into the position unopposed in 2021 succeeding Jared Omboni. Upon his election, he signed 10 players to the team that made the club to be promoted to the FKF premier league.
According to the club the team has seen major improvements since his take over as the chairman and the fruits can be seen since the club seats top at the National Super League.
After his demise family and friends organized fundraising to raise money to give the departed Chairman a befitting sendoff, an informer revealed that a young man who was part of the burial committee smashed fifty thousand sent to him from a Nyamira-based politician.
According to the informer the young man called the politician and requested the politician to send him his support to the family which ended up being used by the man for his personal use.
“The young man called Hon Timothy Bosire when we were having a fundraising in Nairobi and he asked him for his support to the family, the politician sent him 50k but the young man has never surrendered the money to the family nor the burial committee.” Claimed the informer.
Netizens condemned the young man for his strange behaviours and asked him to return the money if he wanted to live a peaceful life.
