Earlier today President William Ruto and his Deputy Rigathi Gachagua hosted a delegation of elected Luo Nyanza MPs at the statehouse in Nairobi.
The delegation was led by ICT cabinet secretary Eliud Owalo and interior permanent secretary Raymond Omollo. Their visit come a few days after President William Ruto and deputy president Rigathi Gachagua visited the Luo Nyanza region in a three-day working tour.

President Ruto while taking to his social media pages has claimed that the meeting was to foster a good coexistence with the leaders in ensuring that each part is receiving development. He also asked the leaders to lead by example and serve the interests of the people.
“Leaders must join hands, foster coexistence and work together in confronting the challenges facing our country. They must endeavor to lead by example and serve the interest of the people. This is a sure route to a more united and developed Kenya. At State House, Nairobi held a consultative meeting with MPs from Nyanza following a recent visit to the region.” Read president Ruto’s Facebook post.

The Raila Odinga-led ODM party has come out to explain to their supporters to remain loyal to the party in ensuring they restore their stolen victory. The party through its Twitter page has also claimed that Ruto is dishing out handouts to their elected members so that they abandon their party leader.
“We want to inform our members & supporters that our quest for the restoration of our stolen victory & provision of good leadership to Kenyans will not be deterred by carrot dangling & dishing of handouts to our elected leaders. The Azimio party has been organizing political rallies in the country since the start of the year with the latest one happening in Kamukunji Kibra where Raila Odinga has been calling out on president William Ruto-led Kenya Kwanza government to resign. Raila Odinga will be leading Azimio in another political rally in Mavoko Machakos county on Friday 10th, 2023.
