Earlier today, President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua led other Mt. Kenya leaders for an interdenominational church service in Kerugoya stadium hosted by governor Anne Waiguru.

The deputy president took to the podium to ask the opposition leader to give the president humble time to deliver their promises to the Kenyan citizens claiming organizing ‘maandamano’ won’t build this nation, but will continue to worsen the economy. Rigathi asked the president to ignore the Azimio La Umoja party leader’s side shows and deliver to Kenyans.

“Rais wetu nakuomba, kwa niaba ya wale wote tunakusaidia, hii mambo ya huyu mzee (Raila Odinga) tuwachie, dawa ya huyo mtu ni mtoto wa Mau Mau wewe kaa kando,” Gachagua said.

Rigathi claimed that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) whistleblower dossier is being sponsored by a foreigner named Jeffrey Smith.

“The president is busy, and he has work to do. You have gone to look for a foreigner called Jeffrey Smith, whom you are now working with, and you tell us that he is whistleblowing. What you are doing is what you have done all the years,” he explained.

Gachagua also added that there would be no handshake between Raila and the president, saying they would not allow an intruder who will diverge from their agenda of bringing development to the country.

“Raila thinks we will call him because we visited Nyanza recently. I am asking the President to step aside and let us deal with him. His medicine is the son of Mau Mau.” Gachagua said.

His sentiments come a day after the chief opposition leader declared he would be having a consultative meeting with Kenyans at Kamukunji grounds on 23rd January 2022, where he will shed more light on the IEBC whistleblower report upon arrival from South Africa.
