Today elected leaders drawn from Kisii and Nyamira Counties had a breakfast meeting with the Cabinet Secretary for Roads and Transport, Hon. Kipchumba Murkomen and Roads Permanent Secretary Eng. Joseph Mbugua.
The leaders present were CS Ezekiel Machogu, Kisii Governor Hon Simba Arati, Innocent Obiri(Bobasi), and Hon. Alfah Miruka (Bomachoge Chache), Hon. Anthony Kibagendi(Kitutu Chache South), Hon. Japheth Nyakundi (Kitutu Chache North), Hon. Daniel Manduku (Nyaribari Masaba), Hon. Zaheer Jhanda(Nyaribari Chache), Hon. Obadiah Barongo(Bomachoge Borabu), Hon. Charles Onchoke (Bonchari), Hon. Joash Nyamoko(North Mugirango), Hon. Steve Mogaka(West Mugirango), Hon. Patrick Osero(Borabu), Nyamira WR Hon. Jerusha Momanyi, Kisii WR Hon. Dorice Aburi, Sen. Gloria Orwoba, and Jones Omwenga CEC Roads and Public Works, Nyamira County.
The meeting was centered on stalled road projects in the region. According to the West Mugirango MP, Hon. Steve Mogaka has confirmed that the Cabine Secretary and his team assured the leaders of their commitment to fast-track the construction of all the stalled road projects in Gusii.

The meeting happened a day after North Mugirango MP, Hon. Joash Nyamoko confirmed to the residents of Nyamira in an interview on a local radio station yesterday, promising that elected leaders from the region are working together to bring more developments into the area.
Netizens from the region have applauded the leaders for working as a team in fighting for development and the Omogusii space in the Ruto government.
